tbi: back pain
For those that don't know, I'm an artist. I mostly do digital art but I have worked on painting, and drawing with pencil and paper. I did a mural once for my school in 2023. I still draw, I don't do it as much like how I used to but I still do it regardless.
I also liked to play games a lot, mainly games on console because I don't have a proper computer for that. I do have some games on my phone but most are to assist certain skills like my memory, coordination, etc. just things I've mentioned here. I now have physical therapy than when I first wrote that post but there are things that my therapy doesn't cover fully even though I am grateful in getting therapy in general.
Before my tbi, I did have some back pain after a while if my posture wasn't the greatest for art or gaming. Now that I stand here, surviving an aneurysm, I still have pain whenever my posture is bad but now that pain can be caused by some other stuff I didn't get the pain in doing before. Thankfully, I'm not new to the experience of back pain. One of the things that can ease the pain is if I try to sit down correctly, it takes a long time to ease it but it works. Another method that I frequently use, mainly because it's quicker and effective if the first method doesn't work as intentional is laying down, it doesn't matter if I'm laid down on my back or not for it to work.
The back pain I had took longer for my body to register as pain and I could easily ignore it if I had to. Now, it's faster and I can try to ignore it but having that pain reduced or gone is 50/50, I never know when the pain will still be there or not since this is a gamble.
