tbi: my achievements

My left hand isn't great, it's still improving slowly. As mentioned before, I had an aneurysm that affected the cerebellum which means that affected coordination, balance, motor skills, etc. because it left my entire left side weaker than the rest of my body. That doesn't mean I'm very weak on it, I might use a cane when my body is physically tired because being physically tired really affects that or need a bit of assistance on some things. This is improvement because before getting here I had to use a cane often, before it was a walker/rollator, and before that it was a wheelchair.

I'm at a point where I can grab things, place things, and do things with my left hand almost properly even though I might have struggles with the weight of something, the angle, the shape, etc. which was something I couldn't do much before. I'm glad I've been having these improvements but that doesn't mean I won't ever struggle or at least a bit with something because of it because that's not true, maybe I will reach that point in the future but I'm not at that point. I say maybe because I'm not sure if I ever will, people heal quicker than others in certain things or take a lot of time which is fine because we're all different so I don't have a guide or anything to use as reference so I'm just doing things and try, I try a lot.

Compared to my capabilities from when I started writing on this blog to now, I'd say I have improved a lot. I needed assistance with a lot of things before, and now I don't need that much assistance on things. Besides that, I've been trying to be independent about it because I've usually been independent on a lot of things before this occured. So I doubt I'll ever reach that exact point of independence like how I was before this and I'm okay with it not being exact to how it was, I can be very close to it and I'll be fine with that.

One thing about my left hand I forgot to mention, which I think is pretty cool is that I can help myself type with it a bit now. I've been using just my right hand to type ever since my tbi occured, and I think it's neat that my left hand can assist me a bit with typing now. This might explain some of the errors I might make while typing because I only use my right hand and I type fast too.
